No shoot has come this close to my heart. Based on a poem written by 13 year old Malawian Eileen Piri, the film is made for international independent organisation Action Aid together with agency DUDE Milan and director Zee Ntuli. Filmed on location in Uganda, the film celebrates the poetically destructive rebellion of five school girls. We created archetypal symbols of weddings which the girls could destroy in a determined and energetic refusal to have their autonomy stripped away in childhood.
