THULI GAMEDZE

Gamedze's collage work functions three dimensionally, as the images taken from a book named "Matter" juxtaposes radically different scales and materialities. Illustrations of elements in microscopic view, rooms awash with green light, diamonds, monuments, submarines, factories, gems and planets come together in an information pile up. Contrasts in scale and materiality draw attention to the attribution of meanings and values that are placed on these items.
