DANIEL LEVI
@danieladamlevi
Levi's paintings are figurative works in which the people he portrays are never really seen. Their faces are obscured by foil, or by being turned away from the viewer. The impossibility of seeing them, or getting a feel for who they are and what they might be feeling points to the inscrutable inner landscapes of others. The artist is interested in the psychology of these figurative representations. The absurdity of these foil heads can also be seen as a darkly humorous appreciation of the notion that life is often made up of the inexplicable. You might question what the work is about, but the artist does not necessarily expect anyone to find the answers.
