COW MASH
Cow Mash uses the cow as a metaphor to navigate sexuality, culture and identity as a woman living in modern society.

The artist said that "in 'Drowning cow', the concrete and wool are used to create weight. If anyone went swimming in this ill-equipped gear, the outcome can be predicted as a fail. The humour around the stereotype that black people can’t swim is explored in this artwork."Her work addresses cultural and social expectations through the image of the cow by referring visually and thematically to the characteristics of being docile, a source of provision as well as a valuable commodity and cultural icon. Her figurative drawings direct these thematic explorations towards the embodied experience.
